Moving from Warsaw to Katowice
We take your belongings from Warsaw to Upper Silesia – to Katowice itself or a neighbouring town in the conurbation. It is a full-day route, so we always finalise the details with you by phone.
The route to Katowice comes in two parts: first the S8 expressway, then the A1 motorway heading south. All in all it is about 300 km, and a loaded van usually spends 4–5 hours on the road, depending on traffic and roadworks. Add loading and unloading, and moving a whole flat can take up most of the crew’s working day. Online you can book up to 8 hours – if your move might take longer, choose the maximum and say so in your notes, and we will sort out the details by phone. As the destination is outside Warsaw, the price in the form is an estimate based on the package’s hourly rate, with the driving time included. A manager always confirms the final amount before the van leaves your door.
Katowice sits at the heart of a conurbation where one town runs straight into the next – Chorzów, Sosnowiec, Siemianowice Śląskie and Mysłowice are right next door. If your new address is in one of them, nothing changes: enter it in the form, and the price stays an estimate until it is confirmed by phone. The housing here is varied, from the red-brick familoki – old miners’ terraces – that Nikiszowiec is famous for, through city-centre tenements and tall communist-era blocks, to new apartment buildings with underground car parks. Older buildings often have no lift, so put the floor in your notes; if it is the 5th floor or higher, any surcharge is agreed by phone. On a new estate, add the gate code and stairwell number too.
On a route this long, packing matters. If you would rather not spend several evenings surrounded by boxes, the Comfort package (300 zł/h) includes packing, so your things set off properly protected. If you only need carrying, Standard with two movers (245 zł/h) does the job, and for a few pieces of furniture and some boxes, Mini with one mover (195 zł/h) may be enough. A whole flat usually travels in the Ford Transit or the Iveco tarp truck – we match the vehicle to the load, and the price does not depend on it. Plan to leave early in the morning, before Warsaw’s rush hour builds up. Keep documents and valuables with you, and make sure someone is waiting in Katowice with the keys.
Practical tips
- Big flat? Book 8 hours and describe how much you are taking in your notes – we will sort out the rest by phone.
- If your new address is in Chorzów, Sosnowiec or another town next to Katowice, enter that town in the form.
- Set off from Warsaw early, before the rush hour, so you are not paying for time stuck in traffic.
- Send photos of your furniture and boxes on WhatsApp and we will suggest how many hours to book and which vehicle fits.
Questions
Will a move to Katowice fit into 8 hours?
It depends on how much you have. The drive alone usually takes about 4–5 hours, so for a small flat 8 hours is often enough, but with a large flat or a house, loading, driving and unloading can take longer. In that case, book 8 hours online and note that you need more time – a manager will call, agree the details and confirm the final price.
Can you move me from Katowice to Warsaw?
No – we only accept moves that start in Warsaw or its suburbs, so we do not cover trips from Katowice or other Silesian towns to Warsaw. Going the other way, from Warsaw to Katowice and the towns around it, is no problem at all – you can book online in about a minute.
