Movers in Praga-Południe

Saska Kępa, Gocław, Grochów and Kamionek feel like four different worlds on the right bank of the Vistula. We move your things between them, across to the left bank or further afield in Poland.

Across the Vistula from Powiśle and Czerniaków lies a district where no two moves look alike. In Saska Kępa, around Francuska street, you will find pre-war villas and low-rise townhouses with small gardens – the vehicle often stops at the garden gate and the furniture is carried through the garden or a courtyard. Gocław is tall communist-era blocks with lifts and big car parks, but also long corridors where a sofa takes longer to travel than you would think. Grochów mixes old tenements along Grochowska with apartment blocks and new developments, while Kamionek, around Jeziorko Kamionkowskie and Skaryszewski Park, has new apartment buildings and lofts with underground car parks. Tell us the building type, floor and lift in the form, and the crew will turn up prepared.

Plenty of moves from Praga-Południe cross the river – to Mokotów, Śródmieście or Wola. You can go over the Poniatowski, Łazienkowski or Siekierkowski bridge, but at rush hour any of them can jam. Crossing the river does not push the rate up: as long as both addresses are in Warsaw, the fixed base rate applies. Mini costs 390 zł, Standard 490 zł and Comfort with packing 600 zł for the first 2 hours, with every further started hour at the package rate. You do pay for time, though, so a queue on the bridge makes the job longer. For a move to the left bank, picking “Evening” or “Any time” in the form lets us choose an hour with lighter traffic.

Praga-Południe is also a handy starting point for moves east and south. Grochowska heads towards Wawer and Wesoła, and Wał Miedzeszyński runs along the river towards Józefów and Otwock. Wawer and Wesoła are still Warsaw, so the fixed rate applies, while Sulejówek, Józefów and Otwock are outside the city: the form shows an estimate, and a manager confirms the final amount by phone. We match the vehicle to your load – a studio from Gocław fits in the Mercedes Sprinter, a three-room flat from Grochów in the Ford Transit, and the contents of a house in Saska Kępa in the Iveco tarp truck. The hourly rate is the same whichever vehicle we send.

Practical tips

  • In Saska Kępa, tell us whether the vehicle can drive onto the property or should stop at the gate.
  • On the sprawling Gocław estates, give us the building and stairwell number – entrances are easy to mix up.
  • Plan a move to the left bank outside the morning rush on the Poniatowski and Łazienkowski bridges.
  • On match and concert days at the National Stadium, Kamionek and Saska Kępa can get gridlocked – check the events calendar.

Questions

Does moving across the river, say from Saska Kępa to Mokotów, cost more?

No. When both addresses are in Warsaw, the fixed base rate applies whichever bank you are on: Mini 195 zł/h, Standard 245 zł/h, Comfort 300 zł/h, with a two-hour minimum. You pay per started hour, so it is worth dodging the bridge traffic. The only possible surcharge is for the 5th floor or higher without a lift, agreed by phone.

I am moving from Grochów to Wesoła or Sulejówek – is the price the same?

Wesoła is a district of Warsaw, so the fixed base rate applies there. Sulejówek is outside the city, so the price in the form is an estimate based on the package’s hourly rate, and a manager confirms the final amount by phone or on WhatsApp before the move.
