Miasteczko Wilanów is one of the biggest new developments in Warsaw: mid-rise buildings with lifts, closed courtyards and underground car parks. Moving out of here is rarely about stairs – it is about access. Entry to the estate is often controlled by a barrier, security may ask what you are there for, and a tall van will not fit into the garage. So before the day, it is worth agreeing with the building management where the vehicle can stand while we load, and adding that to your notes along with the gate code and stairwell number. A typical flat with a lift usually needs Standard – two movers and a vehicle for 490 zł / 2 h – while a smaller place fits Mini at 390 zł / 2 h.
Beyond the new estates, the district is surprisingly green: in Zawady, Powsin and Kępa Zawadowska you mostly find detached and terraced houses, often with large gardens. Moving a house means more things and more carrying, so for jobs like that we usually send the Iveco tarp truck – and if you have no time to pack, Comfort does it for you for 600 zł / 2 h. If you are heading to Ursynów, Mokotów or Praga, both addresses are in Warsaw and you pay the fixed base rate. Konstancin-Jeziorna lies just past Wilanów’s southern edge, but it is a separate municipality: for a move there, the price in the form is an estimate and a manager confirms the final amount by phone.
Wilanów is known for its traffic: in the morning Sobieskiego and Aleja Wilanowska can grind to a halt towards the centre, and in the afternoon the other way. A move to Mokotów, Śródmieście or Ochota is best planned outside those hours – pick the time that suits you in the form, or choose “Any time”, and the manager will suggest a sensible slot. For the right bank – Gocław, Grochów or Wawer – the easiest way across is the Siekierkowska route over the Siekierkowski Bridge. Not sure whether a Mercedes Sprinter will do or a Ford Transit would be better? Send photos of your furniture on WhatsApp – the price does not depend on the vehicle anyway. Booking online takes about a minute, and the manager confirms the date by phone or on WhatsApp.
Practical tips
- In Miasteczko Wilanów, agree with the management or security where the vehicle can stop, and give us the gate code.
- Bring things up from your basement storage unit before the crew arrives – they will not have to hunt for it on the car park levels.
- Avoid the morning rush on Sobieskiego and Wilanowska – an afternoon or evening slot works better.
- Konstancin-Jeziorna is outside Warsaw – for a move there, the online price is an estimate.
Questions
How does a move from an estate with a barrier and underground car park work?
A van usually will not fit into an underground car park, so we load at the building entrance or wherever the management tells us to. Put the barrier or gate code, stairwell number and floor in your notes, and if security needs to be told about the vehicle, let them know the day before. A manager will call or message you on WhatsApp to confirm the details either way.
How much does a move from Wilanów to Ursynów or Mokotów cost?
Both addresses are in Warsaw, so the fixed base rate applies. For the first 2 hours, Mini costs 390 zł, Standard 490 zł and Comfort with packing 600 zł. Each further started hour is billed at the package rate, up to 8 hours per online booking. A surcharge only ever comes up for the 5th floor or above with no lift, and we always agree it with you by phone first.
