Movers in Ochota, Warsaw

A tenement on plac Narutowicza, a block in Szczęśliwice or a rented room near Banacha – in Ochota we move anything from a few boxes to a whole flat.

Ochota is small and compact, yet its housing can still catch you out. In Stara Ochota, around plac Narutowicza and Grójecka, tenements dominate, often without a lift and with tight half-landings where a wardrobe or a corner sofa has to be turned with care. Filtry and Kolonia Lubeckiego are quieter, leafy pockets with lower-rise buildings, while Szczęśliwice and Rakowiec are estates of apartment blocks with lifts and car parks between them. Plenty of students live around the campuses on Banacha and Pasteura, so many jobs here are small moves: a desk, a mattress, a few boxes and a bike. For that, the Mini package is usually enough – a compact Mercedes Sprinter with one mover for 390 zł for the first 2 hours.

Most moves from Ochota stay on the left bank of Warsaw – to Mokotów, Wola, Włochy or Śródmieście, sometimes just a few streets away. Then the fixed base rate applies: Mini is 195 zł per hour, Standard 245 zł and Comfort with packing 300 zł, with a two-hour minimum. A short studio move with Standard can be done within two hours, which means 490 zł. If, on the other hand, you are heading down Aleja Krakowska to Raszyn or along Aleje Jerozolimskie towards Pruszków, your new address is outside Warsaw. The price in the form is then an estimate, and a manager confirms the final amount by phone.

In Ochota, the staircase is often a bigger challenge than the distance. In a tenement with no lift every sofa and washing machine goes up and down the stairs by hand, so for a higher floor it makes sense to choose Standard with two movers. A surcharge can only apply to the 5th floor or higher without a lift, and it is always agreed by phone, never added automatically. Parking can be tricky on the narrow streets of Stara Ochota, which sit inside the paid parking zone, and Grójecka and Aleje Jerozolimskie clog up at rush hour. Tell us in the notes whether the vehicle can pull into the courtyard or stop by the gateway, and if the time of day does not matter, pick “Any time” in the form – we will fit the start around the traffic.

Practical tips

  • In a walk-up tenement, give us the floor and mention any tight turns or narrow half-landings.
  • In Stara Ochota, check whether the vehicle can get into the courtyard – a shorter carry means fewer hours.
  • Leaving a student room? Pack the small stuff into boxes – for a few pieces of furniture, Mini is usually enough.
  • Steer clear of the morning rush on Grójecka and Aleje Jerozolimskie – choose a later slot.

Questions

I live in a tenement in Ochota with no lift – will I pay more?

Up to and including the 4th floor, the hourly rate is the same as with a lift. A surcharge can only apply to the 5th floor or higher without a lift, and we always agree it with you by phone, never automatically. Put the floor and lift details in the notes, and for heavy furniture choose Standard with two movers.

Can you move my things from Ochota to Raszyn or Pruszków?

Yes. Raszyn and Pruszków are outside Warsaw, so the price in the form is an estimate based on the package’s hourly rate. A manager confirms the final amount by phone or on WhatsApp, and you can check the order status under “My orders”. From Ochota we also go further – anywhere in Poland.
