Older tenements in the city centre often have narrow staircases and rarely a lift, while the newer estates on the outskirts tend to come with barriers and underground garages. Before you book, check where the van can stop at your new address, and put the floor, lift details and gate code in the notes. If the flat is on the 5th floor or higher and there is no lift, a surcharge may apply – we always agree it by phone, never automatically.
